Although 'Carolina Moon' was to be used for game fishing, it was the owners wish that the interior should be fitted out to a vey high standard, so that it could be used as a family boat for holidays as well as entertaining friends and clients.

The main saloon and cabin joinery is in teak with a semi-matt lacquer finish. All the mattresses are made to measure sprung and the saloon seating is finished in cream leather.

The forward cabin is fitted as the owners suite. A large double berth with access to the bow thruster under is the feature of this cabin. There is plenty of cupboard, drawer and stowage, and even a television which stows neatly away in a locker! The owner's shower / toilet compartment is finished in white with Velstone worktops.

Forming a curved corridor allowed for two double cabins. To starboard the guest cabin has a double berth, hanging locker and stowage and to port, a second guest cabin has twin berths, one above the other, again with hanging locker and stowage. A second shower / toilet compartment to starboard leaves the owners suite completely private.

Coming aft from the corridor up steps is the main saloon. To starboard is the main helm position. Two sprung seats mounted on a teak cabinet for skipper and navigator are finished in cream leather. The instrument binnacle has been built to house the Raymarine electronics package, engine instrumentation and electronic controls. The galley is aft to starboard and is fitted with electric hob, microwave, refrigerator and double stainless steel sink with hot and cold mixer taps. Over the galley is a drop down stowage locker for all the crockery. To port is the large leather sofa, with a fold out double seat at the forward end. The fixed table has fold out leaves to give a large dining area. All the main saloon, corridor and cabins are finished with teak and holly flooring.

From the main saloon, a sliding door leads to the cockpit area. This is finished in GRP with non-slip deck finish for easy wash down. As there are no fixed seats, lockers are formed in the cockpit sole under large lids on gas rams. These give adequate stowage for ropes, fenders, fishing rods, foldaway chairs and table. The main 6.5kw generator is also housed below.

The cockpit gate in the transom allows easy access to the bathing platform. A stainless steel ladder from the cockpit leads to the second helm position on the flybridge.

The side decks are protected by a heavy duty on piece stainless pulpit rail. Heavy duty mooring bollards all round complete the rugged and solid feel of the vessel.

Other equipment fitted includes 240v shore hook up, heating / air conditioning to each cabin, Raymarine electronics package, electric anchor winch and 'Vacuflush' fresh water electric toilets.
