Manta is fitted with twin Yanmar 370HP diesel engines giving a top speed of 26knots and cruising at 20 - 22 knots. The engines are on conventional shaft drive, bronze P brackets, GRP tubes and Profiseals. The hydraulic steering is power assisted. The general arrangement includes owners suite forward with access to the toilet area. The toilet / shower compartment has been specially designed to use all the available space and with a separate shower cubicle keeps the rest of the toilet dry during showering. Dark blue Velstone worktops form a contrast against the white gelcoat. To the port side is a small double guest cabin with two single bunks. The main saloon contains the helm control area and navigator station, both equipped with sprung seats. To port is the galley which features a large fridge, microwave and ceramic hob. To starboard is the settee seating area. From the main saloon is access to the cockpit area. Custom made seating in GRP with lids on gas rams gives ample stowage for fenders and ropes. At the centre of the transom is a door to the teak bathing platform. From the cockpit, a stainless steel ladder leads to the main flybridge control position. Two seats for helm and navigator forward and a bench seat aft. The helm has secondary steering, repeater electronics and engine instrumentation, morse engine controls, VHF radio and remote operation of the anchor winch. A large lid in the cockpit sole accesses the main hold which houses the two stainless steel fuel tanks, Racor fuel filters, main battery switches and the main engine raw water inlets and filters. In the hold forward bulkhead is a water-tight door to the main engine room (under the saloon). The main engines are fitted on stainless steel beds, with a generator fitted between them. The engine space also accommodates the hot water tank, battery charger and batteries. The whole space is protected by an automatic fire fighting system. Other equipment fitted to the vessel includes an Eberspacher hydronic heater. The twin coil cylinder tank allows the water to be heated from the main engine or the heater. It is also fitted with an immersion heater connected to the generator and 240v shore hook up. The Eberspacher heater also runs through a matrix fan to give warm air to the cabins and heads. Once again with 'Manta', as with all the vessels we build or fit out, we have worked with the customer to build a unique vessel to his personal specification and one which will give many years of enjoyment.
