Island Marine Craft took the standard hull and supers-tructure mouldings of the Lochin 366 Motor Cruiser as built by Lochin Marine International and working with the owner, designed an interior to suit his requirements.
As can be seen from these photographs taken during fit out, much work was done creating new mouldings in the form of toilet / shower module and cockpit seating. Larger fuel and water tanks, and attention to fine detail make this a unique craft.

The Lochin 366 is a new boat developed for 2001 and has a seaworthy double chine hull form designed by Amgram Limited for Lochin Marine International.
HISTORY:
Lochin has for more than 25 years produced in excess of 400 craft predominantly used for serious 'offshore' work having it's very distinctive shear line design. Their multi role uses include: Pilotage, Police Patrol, Sea Fisheries applications, R.N.L.I. (Brede Class 10m Lifeboats), Commercial Fishing and Charter operations as well as Passenger Carriers. There are also many recreational applications where their sea kindliness is particularly welcomed.
THE DESIGN TEAM:
In 1998, Lochin enlisted the assistance of consultant naval architects Amgram Ltd to continue the development of established designs and to bring forward new introductions. The first of these will be the Lochin 366 available late 2001. Principal, Paul Graville and his team, have gained an enviable reputation over the past 20 years designing fast ‘offshore’ pilot and patrol vessels from 7 - 21 metres mostly operated in extreme conditions where sea keeping and stability are pre-requisites.
CONSTRUCTION:
The Lochin 366 uses GRP (glass reinforced plastic) construction techniques to provide an especially stiff and tough hull construction. In general these craft are designed structurally in accordance with Lloyds Register of Shipping (LRS) Special Service Craft (SSC) Rules.
CERTIFICATION:
All Lochin craft are constructed to meet the EEC Recreational Craft Directive (R.C.D.) to Category B (Offshore) status and generally meet the requirements laid down by the Marine and Coastguard Agency (M.C.A.) as applies to structure and watertight integrity for work-boat operation.
INTERIOR:
Modern design provides for greater use of internal volume and the Lochin 366 Sports Cruiser makes maximum use of available space in providing a comfortable ‘light and airy’ interior. Careful placing of bulkheads and partitioned areas enhances the 'space' appeal and special attention has been given to engine access and servicing areas. Excellent forward and side vision is provided from the helm seat when underway and docking where easily accessed controls are in close proximity.
THE LOCHIN 366 Sports Cruiser: a sense of style coupled with a feeling of solidity and robustness providing that essential ‘pride of ownership’ that Lochin owners appreciate, ultimately rewarded by high resale value.
